The Billion Pound Build

The competition is a UK-only, skill-based contest for residents aged 18+ to pitch a Computer-native business idea by 6 July 2026.
Phase 1 is free to enter, does not require a Perplexity subscription, and accepts pitches in any format, including written, video, website, or Computer-built dashboard.
Up to 20 finalists are selected for Phase 2, which is an 8-week build period starting 20 July 2026.
Finalists receive a complimentary 8-week Perplexity Max subscription with no card required and no auto-renewal.
The live reveal and winner announcement are scheduled for 23 September 2026.
The prize is up to £1M in Perplexity Computer Credits, shared among up to 3 winners, with no cash alternative.
The judging panel can award one, two, three, or no prizes at its sole discretion.
Credits expire 18 months after award and are subject to the Terms & Conditions.
Judges are looking for large markets, clear pain points, real traction, strong founder-market fit, and ambitious leverage from Computer.
Computer must be the primary AI system in the workflow, running the core product and operations rather than acting as a minor helper.
