Nissan Silvia - Wikipedia

The Nissan Silvia is a line of small rear-wheel-drive sports cars produced by Nissan from 1965 to 2002.
Export versions were often sold as the 200SX or 240SX, and some were sold under Datsun branding.
The original CSP311 Silvia debuted as a hand-built coupé in 1964, used a 1.6 L engine, and only 554 were built before production ended in 1968.
The S10 was the first mass-produced Silvia on Nissan's S platform and was sold in Japan, export markets, and the United States as the Datsun 200SX.
Nissan had considered using a rotary engine for the S10, but abandoned the idea because of the 1970s oil crises.
The S10 and S11 had limited commercial success overall.
A Paul Newman-driven 1977 Datsun 200SX won 19 of 22 IMSA Class C races.
In Japan, Silvia twin models included the Gazelle for the S110 and S12 generations and the 180SX for the S13 generation.
