Reservations for all official PR trails must be made online through the SIMplifica portal, with entry times assigned in 30-minute slots.
Residents of the Autonomous Region of Madeira are exempt from the access fee.
Entering a classified trail without a valid reservation is considered an infraction and can result in a fine.
The site lists example classified trails that require booking, including Pico do Areeiro, Vereda do Pico Ruivo, Levada das 25 Fontes, and Ponta de São Lourenço.
