OpenSuperWhisper is a macOS app for real-time audio transcription using the Whisper model.
It supports two transcription engines: Whisper and Parakeet, with model downloads available directly in the app.
Users can start or stop recording via global keyboard shortcuts, including single-modifier keys like Left Command, Right Option, or Fn.
The app can also be triggered by a mouse button, including the middle button or an extra thumb button.
It includes a hold-to-record mode where recording continues only while the shortcut, modifier, or mouse button is held down.

For Hebrew transcription, the app recommends the “Turbo V3 Hebrew” model, which automatically sets the input language to Hebrew.
