Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Favorite collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our website, applications, browser extension, Telegram integration, and related services.

For purposes of this policy, “Favorite,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Favorite. “You” refers to the person using the service.

Information we collect

  • Account information such as your name, email address, username, authentication details, and settings.
  • Content you choose to save to Favorite, including URLs, titles, notes, tags, uploaded files, screenshots, selected text, and related metadata.
  • Usage and device information such as log data, browser type, pages viewed, feature interactions, and approximate timestamps.
  • Optional product analytics and privacy-masked session replay data if you opt in on a browser. This setting is off by default and can be changed in product controls.
  • Integration information when you connect third-party services, such as browser extension or Telegram connection tokens and identifiers needed to provide those integrations.

How we use information

  • To provide, maintain, secure, and improve Favorite and its related applications, extensions, and integrations.
  • To process saved content, generate summaries and metadata, organize your library, power search and chat features, and personalize your experience.
  • To communicate with you about your account, product updates, support requests, security notices, and administrative messages.
  • To monitor abuse, debug issues, understand product quality, enforce our terms, and comply with legal obligations.

Analytics, replay, and error monitoring

  • Favorite may use PostHog EU Cloud for optional product analytics and privacy-masked session replay. PostHog is only initialized in your browser after you allow analytics and replay.
  • Favorite may use Sentry EU Cloud for essential error monitoring and debugging. Sentry is configured to avoid default personal-data collection and to scrub headers, cookies, request bodies, query strings, and sensitive fields before events are sent.
  • Replay is limited to non-sensitive public product surfaces. Auth, settings, admin, chat/query, item detail, notes, raw extraction, and similar private surfaces are excluded.
  • You can decline analytics/replay from the banner or change the browser-level setting from account privacy settings.

AI processing

  • Favorite uses AI systems and service providers to classify, summarize, tag, extract metadata from, and answer questions about content you save.
  • We send only the information reasonably necessary for those features. AI output may be stored with your saved content so the product can display and search it.

How we share information

  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We may share information with service providers who help us host, store, analyze, secure, email, process payments if applicable, or operate Favorite, subject to appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
  • We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to prevent abuse, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
  • If you choose to make content, collections, or profile information public, that information may be visible to other users and visitors.

Data retention

  • We retain information for as long as needed to provide Favorite, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security.
  • You may delete content from your account where the product provides deletion controls. Some information may remain in backups or logs for a limited period.

Security

  • We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

  • You can update account information, manage saved content, disconnect integrations, and control what you choose to make public through Favorite settings and product controls.
  • You may contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or export of your personal information, subject to applicable law and identity verification.

Children

  • Favorite is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

  • We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as updating the date on this page or providing an in-product notice.
